Roast date: 18 February 2021
Tasting notes: Tropical fruits, Milk chocolate
Processing method: Natural
Varietal: Catimor
Elevation: 1000-1200 masl
Suitable for: Espresso, Moka pot, Filter
Brewer's note: We serve this coffeee as a ristretto (18g in, 30g out) topped with steamed milk in a 6oz cup. Surprisingly, even at a shorter extraction time, this coffee presents little astringency and is very enjoyable from start to finish. When served as a black coffee, the acidity is a rounded one and the coffee leaves you with a sweer lingering aftertaste.
Origin
Grown along the slopes of Mt. Merbabu, this microlot were produced by farmers in Tosoro Village. With the aim of setting up a processing center at this village that will help farmers receive a bigger cut in the final price of green beans, our partner Bright Java, is working closely with them to produce high-quality beans consistently. Enjoy the goodness of these beans while they're on our shelves!

Medium Light Roast
Roaster's note: Unlike many Indonesian coffee that does better when roasted dark, the Merbabu Natural needs to be treated with care during roasting, and a medium-light roast does well for this coffee. This is the best Java coffee that we have.
