Diversity is a celebration of abilities within Foreword Coffee Roasters. Being a social enterprise with a focus on employment opportunities for persons with disabilities, special needs, and mental health issues, this coffee blend symbolises our strength in diversity and our hopes for a kinder and a more inclusive society. This three-region blend consists of coffee from Indonesia (Pemalang) + Central America (Guatemala) + China (Yunnan).
Pemalang Washed
Tasting Notes: Dark chocolate, Apple, Green Tea

Situated in Central Java, Indonesia, Pemalang is a regency where local coffee producer, Mas Didit began his journey. Originally a musician with an appreciation for quality coffee, he entered the coffee industry by partnering with a farmer in Mount Ijen, immersing himself in the intricacies of coffee processing. Following the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, Mas Didit made a return to his roots in Pemalang and founded his own processing centre. The resulting coffee stands as a testament to his unwavering commitment in producing quality beans.
Hello Neighbour Blend
Tasting Notes: Cherry, Dark Chocolate, Raisins
Roast Profile: Medium – Medium Dark
Inspired by the neighbourhood surrounding our flagship cafe, First Story, we created this special blend to symbolise the community spirit that we hope to cultivate through coffee. Expect to taste notes of cherry and raisins that packs a punch of dark chocolate in the aftertaste. This two-region blend consists of coffee from Brazil Santo Patussi and Guatemala SHB Huehuetenango
Resonance Blend
Tasting Notes: Prunes, Dark Chocolate, Black Tea
Roast Profile: Medium – Medium Dark
Introducing the Resonance Blend, inspired by our newest cafe outlet at Esplanade, Singapore’s national performing arts centre. This unique blend brings together beans from Brazil, Papua New Guinea, and China, creating a harmony of flavours that combine the sweet tartness of prunes and mellow notes of dark chocolate.
