Our Commitment to Society
Started in 2017, Foreword Coffee is a social enterprise coffee company with the mission to mainstream disability and normalize inclusion. Having an inclusive work culture allowed our company to have over 80% of our employees identifying as a person with disability or having a mental health need.
Foreword Coffee currently operates in 8 locations, and offers a range of services such as mobile coffee carts for events, barista-as-a-service for in-house cafes, and wedding favours.
We are proud to be recognized in various awards for the good work that we do, such as the Enabling Mark Awards (2021, 2024), Social Enterprise of the Year (2023), and Champion of Good (2024).
As we journey over the years, Foreword Coffee remains committed to our social mission and we strive to build a more inclusive society through the work that we do.

Enabling Mark Awards (Platinum tier)
Foreword Coffee is proud to be a recipient of the Enabling Mark Awards, platinum tier (highest), in 2021 and 2024. The Enabling Mark is a national-level accreditation framework by SG Enable that benchmarks and recognises organisations for their best practices and outcomes in disability employment.
B Corp Certified
As of 2022, Foreword joined 4,500 businesses worldwide as a certified B-Corporation. Together, the community strives towards an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy. As the 17th B-corp certified business in Singapore, the environmental and social impact of Foreword spans across five segments – governance, workers, community, environment and customers.

Foreword Coffee is registered as a social enterprise member of raiSE (Singapore Centre for Social Enterprises) since 2017. This marks our commitment in building the social mission within our company’s DNA and to do well and do good as a business. Foreword Coffee strives to increase the employability and employment opportunities for persons with disabilities and mental health needs in Singapore. We choose coffee as a means for social inclusion because it provides that daily interaction and visibility to communities who would otherwise be invisible in our daily lives.
